Today was my normal, long and tiring day. I went to work at 11pm yesterday, got off at 715am this morning. I tried getting sleep, but it didn't work out too well. So here I sit with an hour before my next shift, tired, drained & just down right beat!
**Since starting this blog I have managed to lean so far back in my chair that it fell backwards & spilled my coffee all over my workspace. The worst part? I'm not even joking. Well, onwards!**
I was actually quite productive, even through my zombie-like presence. My biggest accomplishment for the day is finishing full time volunteer applications & privacy policy for the website! I'm so glad it's done too! Hah. This organization is my passion, my baby (second to Ellie, of course) and I love working on it. I wish I could carry it on my back the whole way to the top. But I can't. No matter how strong I am. I've realized that it's OKAY to ask for help! (Woah, that's big for me.) So I came to the conclusion I will "hire" full time/long term volunteers. I think this will be amazing for me! I think I'll finally have some breathing room. :) Needless to say, I need it!
Just about an hour ago, I was reminded of a quote I love. The one by Audrey Hepburn. It wraps me up in one saying. And if you know me, you'd probably agree. I don't have much else to say. Probably because I keep thinking that I've gotta start getting ready. So..I guess I should probably listen to myself and get off here...that is, unless someone else wants to go to work for me!? Well, any takers? ...I didn't think so. Worth a try ;)
Second blog down. I'm on a roll. I promise there will be more interesting ones to come. But if you could read through this jibber-jabber, than we've got a pretty good lil thing going! Good night, good morning or good afternoon, whichever. Also, you might be asking why it was called "Laughter in Life"..well because sometimes to get through the day, you just have to simply laugh at yourself. I do it all the time ;)
